Rain knocked on her window.

Wait. No, it didn't.

Rain splattered,

pattered,

drizzled,

poured,

hailed,

drenched,

flooded...

sprinkled.

Or at least, this girl thought so.

Have you ever felt a leap in your heart? A jolt that tells you as long as you do one certain thing, you will
feel something special--something so special that it cannot be felt any other way?

Call it happiness or excitement, you know it when you feel it-- The first time you set your fingers on the piano, learned how to computer code, or painted your first stroke.

On that gloomy, misty night, the girl felt it.

She knew it.

She pondered it,

and

she loved it.

For the longest time, I have loved words, REALLY loved.

Hey, I'm Eunice, and I'm 15. I will race into any store that has lots of fluffy, soft plushies (that isn't a real word but you get what I mean), and I have an unexplained obsession over anything that has to do with charcoal (color, flavor, you name it!). It is my solemn belief that the oxford comma must always be adhered to! (don't worry, i won't hold it against you if you don't)

And... really recently, I've realized that if I just sit around and do nothing about my love for writing, I'm pretty much gonna go mad with feelings of uselessness.

Okay, maybe that was a little over the top, but for the longest time, I have dreamed of a day my words will reach others and share the message I am most passionate about: how we, as a generation, need to be RADICAL.

I believe that every single one of us youth are SO significant in God's eyes (more than we think!), and, along with you, I hope to discover the purpose God has planned for me in the future! "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

We may be young, but that does not mean we can't make a difference! 1 Timothy 4:12 says,"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." Even in the small things we do, we can influence others, and culture's expectations do not define us.

I've tried so many times to depend on my own  strength, circumstances, and abilities, and I just keep on failing. Isaiah 40:29-31 spoke directly to me,
saying,
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and
weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

When I depend on myself, I end up feeling helpless, and I've discovered that many other teens feel this way too. What does it mean to depend on God? I hope to learn more about that as I journey with you through this blog.

So, I've created this blog to learn and encourage all of us to be RADICAL. Being radical is all about being counter-cultural. It's about sticking to the truth in the Bible when times are tough. It's about trying to truly
understand God's Word as He meant it to be and to live that out.

Not easy, but since when was doing the right thing "easy?" I don't know it all, but I've committed to be RADICAL. I strive to live a life motivated by a changed heart and not by my own desires or what others think of me. I can't be RADICAL on my own, but by the grace of God, I bet we all can. I am committed to stumble up the steps of life, even though I may fall.

Because God is holding my hand.

Will you stumble along with me?
